Weight loss program

16 Jul

Most success stories in life (whether its weight loss or getting rich) have some kind of failure rate attached which is completely normal and a big part of losing weight is simply staying motivated.
How can I stay motivated to lose weight?
The mere fact that you are reading this article tells us you are more motivated to lose weight than most people and that alone deserves a high-five but we cant be there to pat you on the back all the time so below are some tips you might be able to use to keep motivated:
1. Be Honest with Yourself!
Do you want to look like Jennifer Aniston or have a six pack like Brad Pitt? Hey, that’s fine but odds you are probably never going to. Try and set realistic goals which are attainable and do not set you up for disappointment. Any weight loss program is about consistency and having realistic goals can really help you maintain a good attitude
2. Set a Short Term Goal
Whenever a wedding is coming up you can bet the bride and bridesmaids are on a month long weight loss program to fit into their dresses so if you have an event coming up try to start a weight loss program where the short term goal is simply part of the bigger picture.
Example… You want to lose 20 pounds in six months – lose 5 for the wedding in eight weeks than 15 the nest 4 months. Goals make everything easier.
3. Find a Partner
If you can make weight loss a social event then it becomes so much easier. Find someone who is interested in attending a gym, going for a walk or anything that involves making your new healthy lifestyle not so lonely. There is probably somebody walking outside of your office right now trying to maintain a weight loss program!
4. Add Fun to your Weight Loss Exercise!
Going to the gym can be boring and even embarrassing for some but how about a bike ride or rollerblading? These are great activities and can really help you add some fun to the exercise part. Of course, for those who prefer a treadmill buy an iPod and stack it up with media you only listen to while working out. Imagine wanting to get to the gym to listen to the next episode of your favorite show – its possible.
5. Set a Daily time to Exercise!
A lot of people find this a critical point. You should set aside a defined time to exercise and never stray away from it. Whether its 6am or 6pm make sure this is your time. Have your spouse take care of the kids, turn your cell phone off and just spend 30-60 minutes with yourself. Soon this will be part of your life and you will love every moment of it. Without a scheduled time a lot of people feel like they always have to make room for exercise and it can lead to a very h3 lack of consistency.

Almost any attempt to lose weight can be successful with a combination of the right medical advice and weight loss program but no one is going to be around holding your hand. The key is to stay motivated and realize good things come to those who weight.
