I come to decide last night that I need to find another job, a daytime job so I will have more time for my family at night. I just realized that working in a second shift, 3-11PM, is not healthy for a relationship because you will only have less time for each other. After a serious talk with my husband, I decided to quit with my job at Hilton. Well, it wasn't an easy decision because this is my first job in the US and they're the first company who gave their trust to me. Anyway, life goes on. I am just happy though because the GM told me that I can always work again there if I want to.

What I Really Want to Do with My Career?
Few minutes ago, I was talking to a dear friend regarding my work and some choices in life. I told her a while ago that I honestly don’t know what I want to do with my career. I am really puzzled on where I am going to proceed. I am certainly caught in between having my BS degree that I finished in the Philippines credited here and use it or take a detour into a medical career. If I will be teaching here in Science or Math, I will certainly earn pretty good money. However, the problem is I don’t feel like doing it as of the moment.
I went online and look for just any school that offers online short-term courses or certificate training until I came across with Medical Career Training. It is such a very informative and well-layout site that it will be very easy for you to browse each page. Of all the courses offered there, I was intrigued with ultrasound tech and if you are going to pursue that course they have an ultrasound tech school where you can inquire about it. If you want to know if there is an ultrasound technician school in your state, go to Medical Career Training to check it.
As of now I am not decided yet on what to do with my career but pursuing medical training/certification or course is one of my options. How about you?

I am Seeking for Change
I had a job interview scheduled at 9:30AM today but I need to cancel it because it will be a conflict to my husband's schedule at work. Plus the place of the interview will be in downtown Dallas which is way far from my husband's workplace.
I feel sad though because I was thinking that would be the answer to my job search these days. Well, I am still working in the hotel but right now I am looking for a daytime job. My shift in the hotel is 3-11PM and I just realized I missed a lot of bonding time with my husband because of this schedule. I feel bad that he needs to get up at 11PM just to pick me up from work.
If I am driving it will be okay already. However, he told me that he will not feel comfortable letting me drive that late with the reasons taht follows:
---> I might be sleepy already and can't concentrate with my driving.
---> Some crazy drivers might be driving more wild that they might hit me.
---> He is afraid of my safety to be out that late at night.
---> He misses me being at home when he arrives from work.
These are just some of the reasons why I need to transfer to a daytime job which will give me a weekend off. My husband is off on weekend so it will be best for us to have my off on those days as well.

Thanks God It's Friday! Not Me?
When I was still in school, I am always happy when it is Friday because it means... two-day vacation from school! However, when I started working in Philippines and even that I am working here in the US, "Thanks God It's Friday (TGIF)" doesn't apply anymore because I am most of the time at work on weekends. Well, that is life; it isn't fair all the time... hehehe...
Anyway, I am dropping by here in my blog to wish everyone a blast weekend! Whatever you plan to do on weekends, I hope that you will ENJOY, ENJOY and ENJOY! See you tomorrow in your blogs. I need to go to sleep now because I am really tired from work. See yeah!

Make Your Vacation Enjoyable and Less Costly
Before February 15 comes, I am going to Georgia to visit one of my dear friends. I am planning to check on some hotels and vacation packages there but since my friend said that I can stay in their house during my short visit so I didn’t push through my plans. However, for our spring/summer vacation either in Florida or Mexico, I am planning to book our hotel and flight through Hotel Reservations.
My friend, who recently had a vacation to Canada, told me that she saved a couple of hundreds of dollars by booking their hotel accommodation and flight through Hotel Reservations. She highly recommended to me to use the same site in any of my future vacation plans. Well, I already heard a lot of wonderful words about this site. My husband’s friend who went to Germany last year had also used Hotel Reservations and he said it was just perfect. He had a blast vacation and at the same time he saved a lot from his budget.
For future reference, I visited the site, browse it and do a few readings and yes I agree that this site offers a wonderful deal for vacationers. There is also a lot of wonderful information like tips and important reminders on going to a trip or when you arrive in the place already. HotelReservation.com is indeed a site worth-visiting not only because of their discounted hotel, motels, vacation packages, resorts and vacation rentals but also interesting facts about the tourist destinations/vacation spots across the world. HotelReservations.com is available in four other languages namely: Spanish, Italian, German and French. So, wherever you are in the world, Hotel Reservation makes it easier for you to use their site. Whether you are traveling to Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, England, Belgium, Portugal and even Asia, HotelReservations.com can cater you there. So, for fantastic vacation deals, visit them today.

Blog Makeover
I was bored. I know I need a change. I know a total make-over is what I need to do. I know good combination of light color is what I am looking for. I want clarity and peaceful ambience. I need a simple but elegant style. I want something that rocks. I need to get over with the old style and create a brand new look. I need to do all these stuff for myself, my readers and my blog.
Guys, hey, what's up? I am just having some "senti moments" here after I finally started the make-over that I want for my other baby blog. Well, I decided to change the layout, the color and the arrangement of stuff because I got bored with how my blog looks before. I find it dull already and I know I need something to brighten it.
As you can see, I am not done yet with the so-called change that I want for my blog but I am definitely happy that I am on the way already. Finally, I conquered my laziness and maƱana habit that's has been hidden inside me. *wink*
Guys, I hope you will enjoy my new template. I put my heart, my mind and my sweat in putting this up. Char! What I don't like changing layout is I hate putting up again the stuff in the sidebar but I still end up doing it. I am left with no choice.
Actually, I will have more updates to do for the sidebar but I need to do it one step at a time especially that I am back to work tomorrow.
I am trying to allocate some of my time taking care of this blog before this will cry out loud, slap me on my face and say, " I am unfair because I am always spending my time on my first baby blog". LOL... *wink*

Good Night
I hate parting time but I really need to go to bed now because I feel so cold already sitting here in front of the computer. My husband is also sleeping right now so before he is going to look for me, it would be better that I will voluntarily get off from here.
I just actually sneak here in the computer to check what's going on with my blogs. I hope my husband will not say that I just traded him with my blogs... LOL...
So guys, see you again tomorrow, same time and same place. Have a good night and sweetdreams everyone! Ciao!

Real CSIs' Talk at Montel Show
I absolutely love today’s discussion of Montel Show at Fox4. Montel's guests are forensic experts from the real CSI. They talk about the different cases they have been into and how they solve each of them. Their job is very intriguing and exciting but it needs that you will have strong stamina for whatever unexpected brutal murder or rotten human bodies that you will encounter that could certainly make you throw-up if you are weak.
If you love watching CSI Miami and other CSI series then you pretty know how brutal or worst some scenarios that they encounter in performing their job. But hey, it is really very interesting. I wish I can be like them but sad to say I am sure my IQ level won't be good enough and most of all I don't have the strong stamina to cross-examine dead or rotten human bodies. I am also afraid of blood, one of the reasons why I didn't accept my aunt's offer for a nursing course before. LOL

Hotel's Guest Service Agent/Frontdesk Agent Life
For almost two weeks now, work is really very busy because it is either we are sold out or over-booked. I hate it when we are over booked because I need to walk-in some guests who don't get rooms in our hotel to any of our neighboring hotels. I really feel bad about it especially if the guest look so exhausted from his trip.
For my four weeks stay at work, I already met a couple of nice and very sarcastic guests especially if there requests or what they want will not be granted. Although whatever they will say is not directly mean for you but time comes that they will really get into your nerves such that you feel like you are about to explode. Well, being an extended stay hotel so it can't be avoided that some guests won't get the king suite that they requested and that's when problem came in.
Beforehand, my co-workers and GM already warned me of the different reactions I will get from the guests. However, when you are in the real situation, it is very draining and it sucks!
Well, encountering angry or picky guests is just pretty normal especially if you are in customer service. You are actually like the "shock absorber" of all bad vibes from people. So, the best you can do is do not take everything seriously. *wink* Just dance with the music baby...LOL

Britney Spears At the Verge of Lossing Her Kids
Britney Spears had pushed the judge who handle her child custody battle to the limit such that it leads to a decision of lifting her visitation rights with her two sons. This happened after she was reportedly rushed to the hospital a couple of days ago. A rumor goes on that she is having a mental problem. She could be one of the people who had a bipolar disorder. She allegedly locked herself with the kids inside her Malibu house is one of the reasons that leads to the intervention of the authorities.
With what happened, it becomes more evident that Britney needs a medical help. She needs to be back to the once responsible, loving and very adoring Britney Spears. People feared that if she will not change her lifestyle right now she might end her life the way Anna Nicole Smith's life ended. Yes, it's sad but it's not too far to happen. Hopefully, Britney Spears will seek professional help as early as possible.

Daughters Found Dead in Their Father's Cab
It has been a week now since the teen sisters, Sarah Yaser Said, 17 years old, and Amina Yaser Said, 18 years old, was found dead at inside their father's cab outside a Omni Mandalay hotel in Irving, Texas at the New Years' Eve. Until now Texas police is still on a manhunt to capture the only suspect who is no other than their own father, 50 year-old Abdel Said.
People and authorities fear that he could have been back in his home country already in Egypt, because there's no trace of him so far. Abdel Said who is said to be strict and very religious didn't like his daughters' Westernized behavior especially dating with boys outside their religion and it could have been the reason why he decided to kill them. The girls' friends and Texan community speculated that what happened could be a "honor killing" in Muslim tradition. However, during a vigil at the Lewisville High School, the girls' brother, Islam Said, said that Islam is a good religion and has nothing to do with their father's motive of killing his sisters.
As of today, everything is still in the limbo. There are still a lot of questions left unaswered as to why this father had killed his two teenage daughters.
If you see him or if you have any information of his whereabouts, call Texas Police. A $10, 000 reward is at stake for those who can give a lead to the police of Abdel Said's location right now.

NFL Playoff
To all NFL lovers, the NFL playoff will officially start on Sunday. Just like the fans of any NFL team who made it to the playoff, I am very much excited to see what's at stake for my team. Cowboys team and fans are very hungry for another big victory and very eager to hold the Superbowl ring after the 1995 championship title. However, I have a little worries with regards to the condition of some players of Dallas Cowboys like Terrell Owens who had injury in their last two games. Although Cowboys gained the home advantage of the entire playoff but I am still wondering and worried if all of the key players can play on their game on Sunday and onwards. Well, I do hope that everyone in the team can play because whether we accept it or not, those players who are injured had brought a lot of remarkable performance in Cowboys series of wins this year. For those who don't know, I am a big Cowboys fan.

Bratty Me
Since my husband went somewhere near an Asian store last night, I asked him to buy some Philippine chips for me and tamarind candy if he can find it in the store. At first he refused to do it because he was lazy to pull over and come inside the store just to buy that stuff. Instead he made a bargain with me that we will just go there today or on the weekend. But since the "bratty-me" ruled again with my system last night, so I forced him to buy them. I even made him guilty by saying this, "Baby, you are already near the store, so why would you not do it for your wife so that she will be extra happy to get home from work when she will see those stuff". Just like always, my husband said, “Okay, you win, I will buy some". hehehe
Here are the chips and the tamarind he bought for me.
