I called my parents on Monday, October 29, 2007 (Philippine date), and they told me that they were already done casting their votes for the Philippine barangay election. I asked them how’s the election going on and they said, so far the election in our place is peaceful although there is a little tension between the opposing parties. It was a normal thing that’s been going on for so many years now that’s why I didn’t mind it.
My mother further told me that there's still nothing changed on how politicians play their game. The candidates are still giving money to the voters, generally called "vote buying" with the hope that they are going to get a vote from them. So sad to know that our politics doesn't really change and I think the hope of changing it is very impossible. Imagine, even the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) candidates were even buying votes? My said that one SK candidate for a chairman position is giving out Php300.00 to each teenagers that are eligible to vote the SK election.
How can these young people become the hope of our country if they are even taught of doing dirty politics at this early age? So sad to think about...but it's happening...

Why I am Into Blogging?
I was tag by Jackie this.
**Start Copy Here**
This meme is based on a recent post that was conducted asking the question “Why do you Blog?” and the rewrite “Why do you Blog? - Reworked.”The purpose of this meme is to tell our tales by spreading the reasons that we blog to as many sites as possible. We get to explain ourselves, direct traffic to our site and highlight our most important, most representative or most relevant post in an SEO favorable format. This will be a positive experience for everyone who wants to get involved. This will enable you to create a short advertisement for your site that will be spread across the blogesphere; a growing directory of blogs. This is an open meme. You do not have to be tagged to join in. All you have to do is follow the rules. Please let me know when you have added your site by leaving a comment on “Complete List” with a link to your post. This will insure an up-to-date list, giving you even greater distribution. You then have the option of copying the growing list back to your site.

North Texas Coldest Temperature Ever Since Fall Started
Yesterday's temperature in the morning was the coldest that we ever had since fall started. Surrounding cities of DFW are in the mid 30's, as a matter of fact, some of them are under the FROST WARNING because near the ground could be in the freezing temperature. Dallas & Fort Worth were in 40-44F.
As usual, I was complaining again because it was so cold. I was even trembling when I opened the door when my husband left for work. . When I went out yesterday at early morning to empty the trash, darn, it was so cold. So, I decided to go back to bed and I slept until past 10AM. When, I woke up, I called my parents yesterday and they are all laughing on me because they said that my voice was very obvious that I feel so cold. Just imagine how you sound and talk if you feel so cold. That’s how I sounded. I didn't turn on the heater yet because I was the only one in the house and I want to save electricity. As much as possible, I want to use the heater only on winter. I don’t want to have a big electricity bill on fall just like what happened last summer. So here comes the real fall temperature. hohoho

North Texas on Threat of Wildfire
Yesterday, North Texas was feared of experiencing the same wildfire that is going on in Southern California right now. RED FLAG WARNING was issued to some part of North Texas especially to the places where there is very dry grassland. Homeowners near a vast dry meadow are warned to be very cautious always to what is going on around them.
With a bit strong wind, authorities are being watchful because even a lighted cigarette could perhaps ignite the grassland. Some firetrucks and other emergency vehicles are stationed in the high risk area.
This situation prevented North Texas to send some firemen and fire-fighting equipment to Southern California because they are afraid that they might lack facilities and manpower in case wildfire will strike. However, there are staffs of some private organizations and some volunteers had flown to Southern California to give whatever help they can offer there. At 7:30PM last night, RED FLAG WARNING in Denton County was finally lifted.
Everyone feel relaxed and comfortable when the warning of all places in Texas was already lifted. God is really wonderful. I am very thankful that it doesn't happen. I can't imagine having our inferno version here. Well, who will not be?

Our Better Half Tag
I am tagged by Merydith on this. Ok, here it goes.
We became blog friends the moment we added each other to our friends' list. We visit each other and learned a little about one another. Yes we posted pictures of ourselves and our better half every once in a while but we only know too little about them. This is our time to flaunt them baby.
This tag is simple. If you feel comfortable and your better half does too, you can post a picture of him in your blog ( but if not a description will do). May it be a baby picture anything that you like with the following:
1. First name: if he doesn't like his name plastered all over the internet, a pet name will do.
2. How and where did you meet?
3. Characteristics
4. Your plans 20 to 30 years from now.
Here is my beloved hubby & my answers to the above questions.+004.jpg)
- My hubby's name is Bryan.
- We met in the net through my officemate, a close friend of mine.
- He has a lot of good characteristics but of all I love is him being sweet, romantic, responsible, loving and down-to-earth.
- In 20-30 years, we will still be here in the US because he will not retire by then. Although, our plan when he is retired already is to stay 3-4 months in the Philippines in a year and the remaining months will be here. We also have a plan to make some trips to the countries that we love to visit and in 20-30 yrs maybe we are already almost done doing it, if not we will continue it.
Now, I am tagging everyone. Whoever wants to do this, just feel free to do it. Just please leave a message so I will know and can visit it. Thank you everyone! Enjoy!

A Lady Was Arrested by Swearing on Overflowing Toilet
I was watching an early morning news today and I find this issue funny and ridiculous. Hence, I decided to share this to you guys. Here it is...
A woman in Scranton, Pa could face up to 90 days in jail and could pay up to $300 fine for swearing over an overflowing toilet. She said she was yelling to her daughter to get a mop because she was panic when the water is already going to her kitchen. A next-door neighbor, a police officer who was off duty at that time heard her and ask her to lower down her voice and when she didn't do it the officer called police.
Wow! Can you imagine someone being fined or could possibly be put behind bar just because of that reason? Isn't it horrible, nonsense and illogical? For me, it is insane. Goosh! I guess in times like that, someone might get panic and shout for help to whoever is in the house. It is just a normal reaction. I just can't get it why he needs to call the police over such matter. Can you imagine being brought to the police office and be fine just because of swearing over an overflowing toilet? I can't!

North Texas Was Hit by a Severe Thunderstorm
Last night, North Texas was hit by a severe thunderstorm. There was severe lightning and thunderstorm, strong wind and heavy rain. A lot of streets and low-lying places were flooded, some roads were temporarily closed, some trees fell down and there are even places where the roofs of buildings were blown away. The traffic got even worst today because of the road circumstances that I mentioned. People are hoping that roads will be open soon so everything will be back to normal.
The people in some part of Hillsboro thought that there was a tornado that hit there place but the Texas weather station strongly disagree that there was none. They further said that last night was only a pure thunderstorm with strong winds. Today, twelve golfers in Garland, TX was rescued and brought by the firemen rescue team to a higher ground because a big part of the golf course was flooded due to the overflowing water of the nearby creek. Good thing everyone was safe and sound.
As I observed, North Texas is easily flooded if there is a storm or heavy rainfall. The water level of some lakes easily rise up and some creeks mostly overflows. I hope this problem will soon be given a solution, if not be minimized.

Let's Help the Breast Cancer Site
To all my friends and my fellow bloggers:
I am asking everyone here to please take time to visit to this site http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/. Guys, I am not paid to promote this. I did this to help the Breast Cancer site spread the words. I already posted this in one of the public forum online.
My mother-in-law sent me an email requesting me to send the letter below to my friends with the hope that more will visit the site. I am thinking that posting this to my blogs and public forum will help get more page visit there. For the record, my mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor. Well, she has been free of it for many years now.
Our daily visit and click there will help them, through their sponsors, give a free mammogram a day to an underpriviledged woman.
Here is the letter they circulated:
The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the middle).
This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors /advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.
Thank you so much! I hope that you will spare a minute of your day to go there.
Note: Anyone who want to re-post this, just feel free to do so.

My Online Madness
I woke with a bit chilly environment today. Yes, we are hot no more this week. Infact we were around 53F in the morning and only around 85-87F in the afternoon.
Wow! I got very busy today updating my blogs and replying to my friends and co-bloggers messages they left in my blog yesterday.
My online works got piled up because I wasn't home yesterday. I visited my friend who live approximately 20 minutes away from us. Well, since I don't have a license yet so my husband drop me off there before he went to work and he just picked me up to after his work. Another friend of ours was there and we just have some fun. We ate a lot of Filipino foods like pancit bihon, dried fish and chicken barbeque Philippine style.
Today, I also checked the other sites that I am a member of. Just like my blogs, I have a lot of stuff to update there. Hopefully, I will be able to find some time tomorrow to finish beautifying this new blog of mine. Remember tomorrow is the start of the weekend and my husband is off from work, so we might go somewhere else.
Anyway, have a blast weekend everyone!

Texas Bandit Tracker Website Is Now Out Online..Check it out...
Bank robbery in Texas is growing in number every year. Lately, it seems like there's a reported bank robbery everyday. Isn't it alarming already? Not only the policemen are getting more worried about it but everyone. It calls the attention and utmost curiosity of everyone in the community.
Okay, here's the reason why. Imagine, in 2005 there are 91 recorded bank robberies. The number almost double in 2006 reaching up to 211. Since the start of 2007 until the present, there are already 216 bank robberies that took place. So, expect that this number will still increase as the year progress. Is the tremendous increase already scary? Yes, it is.
Right now, both the federal and local investigators together with the public are helping hand-in-hand to possibly locate the whereabouts of these heists. As a matter of fact, a website entitled FBI, Local Law Enforcement, Texas Banking Industry & You! was launched, it contains photos of the robbers in the scene taken by the security cameras. So far, there are numbers of robbers who are captured already through this site. Constituents have been very helpful in providing leads to the authorities.
The website that I am talking about is http://www.bandittracker.com/album/bank-robbery-suspects/ . Please check it out because you might not know that you've seen or you know some of the people listed there.
Here's a video clip of Fox4 News on this issue:

I am Finally Launching My Second Blog
To be exact, it has been a month and 12 days now since I started blogging. Well, just like what blogging does to everyone, I find this hobby very addictive because it helps me ease up my boredom while waiting my hubby to go home from work and it also enables me to pursue my passion for writing. The blogworld enables me also to express my idea or opinion on a certain issue. I also share to my friends and some of my readers the latest news or happenings that could be beneficial to them as well. I also earned a lot of friends and as well being able to connect with some of my friends and acquaintances that I don't have a contact lately. Yes, I am not totally hooked up with it that hubby needs to remind me what time it is already at night so I can go to sleep already. Sometimes I was so engulfed with my blog hopping that I am not already aware what time it is.
For the record, this is already my second blog. Well, my first blog is still with Blogger.com which bears the title Sweet Lullaby. It's also a blog that covers everything under the sun. I write about news, entertainment, sports, weather, fashion, my personal experiences and the lists go on.
A couple of days ago, I am already considering of making another blog but I wasn't able to realize it until today. And yes, the page that you are viewing right now is my second blog entitled Buzzing Around. Just like my first blog, this will cover all subjects.
So, welcome here everybody and I hope I will be able to entertain you as well as give you something that's life worth knowing about.
